Science   Activities to help the children explore and compare the differences between living things and identify and name a variety of plants and animals in their habitats. There are resources for whole class and group teaching as well as independent learning which can be adapted to meet the needs of your class. You can download the ZIP file to access all of the teaching files in this section or you can select each individual file to meet the needs of your class or teaching group.

We recommend introducing the children to the life processes common to all living things before exploring one familiar and one unfamiliar habitat to investigate how and why living things exist in specific locations. There is no need to teach all of the topics in this unit.
