The English schemes of work have been divided into units that cover fiction, non-fiction and poetry objectives on a central theme. You can choose to follow the plans in sequence across the term or you can select fiction, non-fiction or poetry sections within each unit to teach them independently according to the needs of your class. We have chosen texts by significant children's authors to help teach each scheme of work. You should be able to find copies of the texts in your school library. For some of the plans, we have been able to provide any necessary texts for shared reading and class discussion. All of the objectives in these schemes of work have been taken from the 2014 National Curriculum.
If you have suggestions for other resources that we can add to this section then please drop us a message. We'd love to add teaching activities that you need to help support your classroom teaching. |
