Resources Easter Eggs
Resource Preview Easter provides an excellent opportunity for the children to develop their literacy, numeracy, creative and practical design skills when making decorations with an Easter egg theme. The children can practise using a range of materials to mould and shape Easter eggs as part of a decoration such as a table display, door wreath or Easter basket. The class can explore how to add different colours and designs to their Easter egg decorations by using a range of techniques such as how to mix colours of paint or how to apply printing shapes and designs.

Working in English, the children can select exciting and powerful vocabulary to describe colours, patterns and shapes used on Easter eggs. The class can then discuss and practise different ways of replicating the selected vocabulary when making some Easter egg decorations. Encourage the children to develop independent learning by teaching them some basic techniques when working with colours and materials which they can then apply to their own Easter egg designs for decorations.
